The LCMCS food pantry is our student’s action-oriented response to the social issue of hunger and food insecurity in our local community and statewide.

The pantry is a shopping style pantry that is open to all, without an income declaration. You can expect to find fresh produce, shelf-stable milk and non-dairy milks, lots of canned goods (fruit, vegetables, soup, beans, chili), bread, frozen meat and meat substitutes (Tofurkey products) and pasta and beans. This food comes to us from the Oregon Food Bank via industry donations and grocery store recovery.

We’re open from 2-7 every Friday.  We’ll be set up in the gym just inside the main back/trails entrance on the south side of the school.

Please tell your neighbors or get some flyers from the school to share with friends outside of our school community.  Getting the word out and increasing awareness in our community of this vital resource is one of our student’s goals for the food pantry.

If you need to access the pantry outside of regular hours you can email kanderly@lcmcs.org or call the school to make an appointment.

If you’d like to contribute items to the pantry:

    • We could use: toiletries, paper products, pet food and feminine products. These items can be dropped off at the school.
    • Rather than donating food items purchased at retail prices, we can stretch your grocery dollars farther by purchasing staples on your behalf through the Oregon Food Bank.  For example, we can buy cans of tuna for $0.55, cans of peaches for $0.66 and jars of peanut butter for $1.20.

If you would like to make a monetary donation for our students to use to purchase needed items on your behalf please click here and write “food pantry” in the comment section. You can also mail us a donation or drop cash or a check-off at the main office.
