Boo Ball FAQs:

Never been to the Boo Ball? We’ve got you covered…

Whose putting on the Boo Ball?
The Boo Ball is organized by the Community Engagement Committee (CEC) which is a committee of the LCMCS Board of Directors and open to anyone in our community.  Volunteers like you, CEC members, and LCMCS students are running the Boo Ball.

Is there an entry fee?
No. The CEC strives to make events as accessible to every family as possible. However, there’s a Suggested Donation of $20 per family. If $20 is not in your family budget at this time but you can give $5 or $10, please do so. If a donation of any amount is an obstacle to your participation, no worries, PLEASE COME ANYWAY! We want every family to be able to participate in this community event. If your family can easily afford $20 and are willing to donate $10 or $20 more please do so, knowing that your generosity will cover the cost of others. We believe deeply in being a community of givers!

Where does my suggested donation go?
Donations go to cover the costs of putting on the Boo Ball.  Any additional funds donated are held by the CEC and are used to fund the many free to low cost community events and LCMCS staff appreciation “acts of kindness” they organize throughout the school year.

Will there be things for purchase once we are at the Boo Ball?
Yes. There will be bento bowls for dinner and a variety of treats/snacks/beverages for purchase starting at $.50. We accept cash, debit or credit.

What’s the story with the Jack-O-Lantern contest?
Please carve your pumpkins at home and then bring in the already carved Jack-O-Lanterns for display and judging. Everyone votes and the top vote getter wins!

Can I drop my kids off and pick them up when the party is over?
No. All kids must attend with a parent or other adult.

Can we wear costumes?
Yes! Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume, but it is not required.
