Biography

Heather was born and raised on the flat side of Colorado. She swore off working with kids after a few babysitting jobs, only to find that walking into a classroom setting felt like coming home. It took her 15 years and many career changes to make that a reality. After moving to Oregon in an RV held together with duct tape, she completed her BS in Elementary Education and Multidisciplinary Studies with an ESOL endorsement in 2020. Heather is a state-licensed teacher and will be pursuing a masters degree in trauma in the educational community over the next couple of years while continuing independent study of Dr. Montessori’s work. On her weekends Heather can be found researching oceanic biomes, chasing cows out of her oversized garden, or thinking of ways to make her students laugh.
