Lewis & Clark Montessori is open to all families. Enrollment for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade occurs through the Charter School Public Lottery Process. This process occurs in the spring of each year for enrollment the following fall.
- You can find a detailed explanation of the lottery process and answers to frequently asked questions on our Charter, Enrollment & Lottery FAQs document.
- For preschool age children (3 and 4 years olds) please click here to find information about applying to our Children’s House Program.
To enter the enrollment lottery, parents need to complete a lottery application for each child they wish to enroll in the upcoming school year and return it to the school office by the date shown on the enrollment form. (Please note that students who have previously had an IEP with their home school will need to schedule an IEP team meeting to get team approval for placement at Lewis & Clark Montessori.)
Completed Applications may be (1) filled out online, (2) scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or (3) mailed to Lewis and Clark Montessori Charter School, P.O. Box 365, Gresham, OR 97030.
Charter schools are an educational choice for an alternative to the traditional public education system, and each charter school is very different. In order to make an informed choice for their children’s education, we want parents to be familiar with the Montessori Method and understand the school’s expectations of students and families. We, like you, want to ensure a good fit for your child in this setting and to understand the critical role family plays in a student’s success at school. Prior to applying for enrollment, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the information about the various programs here on our website.
