You’re cordially invited to join a global movement by participating in LCMCS’ Giving Tuesday on December 3rd. This international day of giving is a time for reflection and balancing out the consumer focus of the season by giving back to organizations you love. Hopefully, you will share your love and generosity with LCMCS. Read about Giving Tuesday here and stay tuned for more information!
Always a hit, team Muckamuck (the kitchen) is serving up a special Thanksgiving meal for lunch on Wednesday, November 20th. There’ll be turkey and all the works. MAC is providing bread. Gluten & dairy-free options are available. If your kids want to participate just make sure they let their teachers know on Monday (or as soon as possible).
Introducing Classroom Ambassadors
Did you know your class has a Classroom Ambassador (or two). These active volunteers help teachers with various tasks, as well as things like classroom art projects and themed gift baskets for the school's annual fundraising auction. Look for an email introduction from your Classroom Ambassador in the coming week that will also share ways you can help.
Friends, Food & Fun!
Our recent Community Dinner & Game Night was a great success with about 80 people enjoying chili, salad, cornbread & apple crisp thanks to Simona Dowler, Oregon Food Bank, and the CEC. Rumor has it that after dinner burritos were flying and the fire alarm went off. Experience it for yourself by joining us at the next free community dinner on Feb. 7th.
There's always work to be done at LCMCS and we’re grateful to all of you who generously offer your time and talent! Here are a few of our most pressing volunteer needs. Click on the links below for more information!
