The LCMCS Explore Art Holiday Gift and Craft Fair is an annual event that celebrates student and community artists and craftspeople. Featuring a gallery display of artwork, a variety of performances, delicious food, talented vendors, and hands-on activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to having you join us!
Below is a sneak peek into some of what is planned. Click here to visit our Facebook page for updates and more information!.
Our 2019 event will occur on Friday, December 6th, 4-8pm at the Lewis & Clark Montessori Charter School in Damascus.
Holiday Bazaar – You’re sure to find all you need for holiday gifting at the bazaar this year! We have artists and craftspeople selling everything from doggie slings to jewelry to naturally dyed clothes. Among our talented student vendors you will find hats, headbands, slime, pet treats, and so much more! Most vendors will likely be able to take credit cards, but bring extra cash for the kids’ tables!
Art Show – This year we will be featuring the Wy’east classroom, who was inspired by the book “Refugee” by Alan Gratz. Students made art around the theme “home” and profits from their art will go towards helping children impacted by the refugee crisis.
Food – Sea Otter classroom is hosting the food for the evening with a nacho bar, and the CEC will be having a delicious hot cocoa bar. A few of the kids will be selling delicious desserts, so bring your sweet tooth!
Activities – The MAC upcycling elective will have a booth where your kids can create a masterpiece using cast-off materials. LCMCS LEGO Robotic Club will have a space to create.
Performances – Throughout the night you will have an opportunity to see many talented performances from our students- from fiddles to folk dancing.
In short- it’s an evening not to be missed! We hope to see you there Friday, December 6, 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
